The initial cost isn’t prohibitive either, especially for businesses still figuring out which workflows actually make a real difference in their operations. For technical teams, tech startups, or companies that already have a significant volume of automations running, n8n starts making a lot more sense — both from a cost perspective and in terms of flexibility. The ability to host the tool on your own infrastructure eliminates the risk of vendor lock-in and ensures that sensitive data doesn’t travel through third-party servers, which is especially relevant for industries like healthcare, finance, and legal.
