In June of this year, Tencent started rolling out access to a select group of users for testing Xiaowei, a native AI Agent built right into WeChat — that platform blending social networking, payments, gaming, and so much more into the daily lives of 1.4 billion people.
Still in the prototype phase, Xiaowei is already turning heads with what it promises: a smart assistant capable of carrying out tasks for users within an ecosystem of millions of mini apps.
