That is why many companies are choosing AI solutions that run locally on their own servers or that come with specific data protection agreements. This is a trend that is likely to grow significantly over the next few years.

Misinformation and the role of critical thinking

Checking sources, cross-referencing information with trustworthy outlets, and being skeptical of content that seems too good to be true have never been more essential than they are right now.

That said, AI can also be an ally in the fight against misinformation. There are already projects and tools using artificial intelligence to identify fake news patterns, detect deepfakes, and verify the authenticity of images and videos in real time.
