The challenge China faces with millions of young people entering the job market

China doesn’t want this wave of innovation to remain restricted to major metros like Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. The plan includes bringing tech hubs and startup incubators to smaller cities, which could decentralize job creation and ease the pressure on major urban centers.

This is especially relevant when you think about graduates who come from inland universities and often have to relocate to land a job. With regional technology hubs, the trend is for more people to be able to work close to home, which also lowers living costs and improves quality of life for these young professionals.
